Dust Detector – Dust Monitor

Get the best in technology and take control of your processes today!

Dust Detectors are used to continuously monitor particulate emissions in air filtration systems. They send alerts when particulate levels reach a set threshold and help in identifying when emissions exceed regulatory limits and potentially put employee health at risk. These devices are used as broken bag detectors in bag houses and to detect leaks or excessive particulate matter in cartridge filters, bin vents, and cyclones.

How It Works

It uses Tribo-electric technology, where particles hitting the probe rod create a small electric charge. This charge provides a signal that is monitored by the device’s electronics. It’s built to avoid false readings, even if dust collects on the sensor rod. The detector can be set to give early warning alerts for hazardous situations, send instant alarms, or provide one-minute average readings. It also has a 4-20 mA output for use with a PLC system.

It helps save valuable materials and makes the workplace safer by alerting staff to rising emission levels before they become serious, reducing the chance of emission-related shutdowns. It continuously monitors emissions, bag house filter leaks, and particulate flow in processes.
