The Non-Contact Ultrasonic Level Transmitter is a versatile family of devices that operates with a frequency range measured in kilohertz (KHz). Our ultrasonic transmitters come in various configurations and process connections tailored to meet your specific needs. They offer a cost-effective and reliable solution for accurately measuring levels in non-aggressive liquids and slurry applications.

How It Works

It uses transducer-generated ultrasonic impulses that travel at the speed of sound (C). When these impulses reflect off the surface of the medium and return to the transducer, the time (T) taken is proportional to the distance (S) to the measured level. This principle can be expressed as:

S= (C x T)/2

However, overlap between emitted and received impulses can create “blanking zones,” leading to inaccurate readings. Our advanced microprocessors and Echo Discovery technology help mitigate this issue, even in challenging conditions. Moreover, an integrated temperature sensor provides real-time temperature compensation for enhanced accuracy.
