How It Works

RF capacitance probes detect the presence or absence of material by measuring small changes in capacitance (as low as 0.5 pF), which occur due to differences in the material’s dielectric constant compared to air.

These probes work without interference, are easy to calibrate, and have built-in safety features. They are accurate even with materials that are dusty, sticky, or clingy. With Class II hazardous location ratings and a variety of probes and extensions, these probes are perfect for detecting solids, liquids, and slurries in many different situations.
